Tamworth Business Watch

The Tamworth Business Watch provides a communication network or link for any businesses or organisations. They may cover a small geographical area (e,g, group of shops or an estate), or have a common interest (e,g, the Forecourt Watch or a group of logistic companies ). There is no limit to the range of schemes that could be included. Currently the Tamworth Business Watch is helping to reduce and prevent crime. Members are alerted to relevant crimes and incidents, by being alerted members become more crime aware, and may prevent further incidents occurring, so saving themselves money.  They may be asked to watch for a particular vehicle, or be given the description of offenders that are targeting you sort of business. We of-course encourage members to keep in touch with their neighbours and the police as well as reporting any suspicious incidents to the police.

The Online Watch Link (OWL) is the new communication system of the Staffordshire Police to circulate messages to members. Alerts can be sent by phone, fax, e-mail or text. As Owl is a web based system it offers so much more than just a message system. The web site allows members to view recent messages and access information about the local area and not only be able to report crime issues but also environmental issues.

The Mobile Police Station will be visiting Industrial areas in Tamworth in February, feel free to drop in with any questions you may have.
